Mount Elbrin

Mount Elbrin
Mount Elbrin is the defining height of central Wendmor — a vast, rounded mountain rising in long, continuous slopes rather than sharp ridges or broken peaks. Its form is ancient and stable, shaped more by erosion than upheaval, giving it a presence that feels enduring rather than violent.
Snow gathers heavily across Elbrin’s upper reaches each winter, feeding rivers and valleys far below when the thaw comes. The mountain governs wind patterns, water flow, and seasonal change across much of the surrounding land. From a distance, Elbrin appears calm and immovable; up close, its scale becomes difficult to measure.
Unlike the wider Skyreach Ranges, Mount Elbrin is singular. It does not form a barrier to cross, but a landmark to orient by — a constant reference point visible from far across the plains. To know where you are in Wendmor is often to know where Elbrin stands.

Style: Semi-realistic fantasy landscape illustration, naturalistic and restrained, no overt magic.
A single massive mountain dominating the landscape, rising in broad, rounded slopes rather than sharp peaks. Mount Elbrin appears ancient and stable, with smooth contours shaped by long erosion. The lower slopes are rocky and open, transitioning to sparse alpine vegetation higher up. Seasonal snow lies thick across the upper reaches but does not form permanent ice sheets. The mountain stands apart from any surrounding ranges, clearly singular and central. Meltwater streams trace faint lines down its flanks, feeding distant valleys. The sky is wide and clear, with soft cloud layers and cool, bright light. Colors are muted and realistic: pale stone, cool greys, soft whites, and faint greens. The overall impression is scale and calm rather than danger — a mountain that governs weather and water through presence alone, vast enough to orient the land around it.
